Supporting you to connect, participate and enjoy meaningful experiences in your community.
Community participation can mean something different to every person. It may involve catching up with friends, joining a local group, going to the gym, shopping, attending an event, trying a new hobby or simply getting out and enjoying places that matter to you.
Dothi Healthcare supports participants to access social, recreational and community activities based on their own interests, preferences and NDIS goals. Some people want practical support to continue doing activities they already enjoy, while others may want encouragement to build confidence and try something new.
Our support is flexible and person-centred. We can work one-to-one or support participation in suitable group and centre-based activities, depending on the participant’s needs and the programs available.
Where a participant is working towards greater community inclusion, we can also support skill development, confidence, communication and exploration of new opportunities that may lead to longer-term participation, volunteering or meaningful community roles.
How We Can Support You
Participation should reflect your life
Community participation should be based on what you enjoy and what you want to achieve. We take direction from you and provide the practical support and encouragement needed to help you participate in ways that feel meaningful.
