Short-term support that maintains your usual care needs while giving informal supports time to recharge.
Short-Term Accommodation (STA), often referred to as respite, can provide eligible NDIS participants with a short period away from their usual care arrangements while continuing to receive the disability-related support they normally need.
For some participants, STA can provide a change of environment and the opportunity to maintain routines, enjoy activities and receive support in a suitable short-term setting. It can also give family members or other primary informal supports time to rest and recharge so they can continue in their caring role.
Dothi Healthcare approaches short-term support in the same way we approach other services: by understanding the participant first. We consider routines, personal care needs, communication, interests, dietary requirements, risks and the level of support required before confirming whether an arrangement is suitable.
Availability depends on the participant’s NDIS plan, the purpose of the funding, the suitability of the proposed arrangement and Dothi Healthcare’s current service capacity.
How We Can Support You
Talk to us about suitability and availability
Short-Term Accommodation is not ordinary holiday accommodation or emergency housing. Contact Dothi Healthcare to discuss the participant’s approved funding, usual support arrangements and current availability before making plans.
