Temporary accommodation while you transition towards your longer-term home.
Medium-Term Accommodation (MTA) is a temporary NDIS home-and-living support for eligible participants who need somewhere suitable to stay while they are waiting to move into a longer-term home.
It may be relevant in specific circumstances, such as when a participant’s long-term accommodation is not yet ready, while approved home modifications are being completed, or during an eligible transition from hospital or another setting.
MTA is generally a one-off transitional support and may be funded for up to 90 days depending on the participant’s circumstances and plan. The MTA funding itself covers the temporary accommodation cost; disability-related personal support is arranged and funded separately where required.
